Program evaluation framework
Effective program evaluation is a carefully planned and systematic approach to documenting the nature and results of program implementation. The evaluation process described below is designed to give you good information on your program and what it is doing for students, clients, the community and society.This framework is one way to approach program evaluation, but there are a plethora of alternative approaches to program evaluation (for a survey of approaches see Mertens & Wilson, 2019). However Easy Evaluation has been successfully taught to and used by health professionals, and has proved suitable in many circumstances.The evaluation framework described in Chapter 3 organizes data into a common evaluation tool based on a logic model approach and provides for consideration of external factors. Similar to many research program evaluation efforts, the evaluation committees used this structured rating tool to provide some consistency in ratings across programs.
