I would definitely say reg rifts over grifts since you have more chances for them to drop vs just gambling on the RG to drop em. My thoughts exactly as far as thinking the droprate is about the same as legendary potions. Have found 5 of each (potions and gifts, not each potions) this season. Sometimes when I got new weapon and no Ramaladni's (beginning of season:P) I take the less useful stat, change it into a socket and when RG drops I simply change socket do something good (ex. 10% damage) and add socket via RG. Item rerolled via Cube cant be ancient or primal (so it is said in the recipy).
