I used to wear the G6 sort of exclusively on abdomen before trying on the thigh. Actually, there was a clinical study about the accuracy on various sites (upper arm, thigh and abdomen) in which the upper arm and thigh are best in accuracy while abdomen was least accurate in that study. Wear on the abdomen is not FDA approved in the US right now, but you can technically wear it there. It has been studied. The MARD for the G7 is about the same as the G6 when worn on the abdomen.
